Meet our beloved Bubba
Bubba looks ferocious but is the biggest cuddle bug, the biggest baby that you have ever met. He loves to go for long car rides and the beach: oh yeah! He loves to play in the water; give him a kiddie pool and he will lay in it. Bubba has two favorite toys: a ball and a squeaky toy. Put those two together and he is in heaven. Did I mention that he is also a pillow hog? Well, if you let him you may roll over and be nose-to-nose because he likes to snuggle and be around his person. He is in no way a chewer and is completely housebroken. There is only one thing you need to know about our Bubba: he is a kitty chaser so he would not be good in a home with cats. Bubba is really good with kids, even small ones, and also with other dogs. He does pull a bit on the leash when walking unless you have a strong hand. He will relax and walk correctly if you don't let him get away with it. Bubba does know most basic commands and can't wait for you to come and find him. Give our Bubba Love a chance to show you what he has to offer. He is such a joy to be around and will give you so much in return.
For the Love of Strays was formed because of our devotion to animals like Bubba and our passion to help rescue homeless animals. Our small, hands-on group of volunteers depends on people like you who are willing to open your hearts and homes by fostering homeless pets while they are vetted, healed or finding forever homes of their own.
For the love of Strays is supported solely by volunteers, fosters and donations provided by others to cover necessary veterinarian expenses incurred to save these animals. For the Love of Strays is also a 501(c)3 public charity that is tax deductible.
All dogs adopted from For the Love of Strays are:
- Provided a veterinary checkup;
- Vaccinated: parvo/distemper, rabies and bordetella shots;
- Provided fecal exams and de-worming;
- Treated for fleas and ticks;
- Tested for heart-worms and treated, if necessary;
